We’ve all struggled with wanting to be in total control of our lives at times.

But we need to walk with Jesus, not alone.

God built us that way.

We need to let Him be Lord and not attempt to be Lord of our own lives, because we are not good lords.

In his confession prayer, David says, “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.”

It’s interesting to study the history of this word hyssop. It’s actually a weed that’s very common in Israel and all over the middle east.

And it was used on the Passover night when Israel left Egypt.

They dipped the hyssop weed in the blood of the sacrificial lamb, and they sprinkled it on the doorpost of their home.

And that kept the death angel away from their house that night.

This, of course, is a picture of Jesus dying in our place and taking our sins upon himself and away from us, satisfying the Father’s need for justice.

They dipped that hyssop weed in the blood and sprinkled it, just as the Holy Spirit takes the blood of Jesus and sprinkles it upon our hearts at the moment he regenerates us as we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

In this episode, I’m going to talk about why we need confession, as well as some common misunderstandings about sin.

When we confess our sins, our spirits are renewed.

This is where we find true success in life. And that true success, of course, includes our stock trading.

(Being out of sorts with our Lord, however, brings failure.)

Which one are you cultivating in your life right now? Success or failure? Listen to the episode now to find out…

When it comes to closeness to God, it’s just like a friendship or a marriage.

It’s not a fixed thing.

It takes continual work to build, maintain a relationship.

And if you work at it, you can grow it into something even bigger and stronger.

If you’re in a place in your life where you need to fix things—maybe one particular thing that’s been bothering you—to truly do it right, you need to start with God.

But wait…

This show is supposed to be about stock trading, right? (You may notice I’m not talking about that a whole lot today.)

But you gotta admit this: If you don’t have this part of your life right—if you don’t have that walk with the Lord right—nothing in your life is going to work.

To be more to the point, if you’re not focusing on your relationship with God, what does it matter how good a stock trader you might be?

What does money matter at that point?

(Hint: None of it matters.)

It’s so easy in life to think about the details of doing this, and getting this job done, and being great at this—and even focusing too much on our relationships with other human beings—that we leave God out.

At that point those things fall apart.

What can we do about it? (Or better yet, what can we do to prevent this?)

Today we’re going to talk about something I like to call the cure.

This week’s episode is about how to get your life back on track by reconnecting with the Lord.

Have you ever found yourself thinking that more money would solve all your problems?

It won’t.

But the idea that it will fix everything can be so persistent, even if you know this deep down.

For many, many people money is their #1 idol.

You may have had great financial victories in your life. Some huge successes. This is a blessing, but can be a time of spiritual danger as well.

An increase in wealth can lead to people slowly slipping away from the Lord and becoming complacent.

King David had one of the greatest victories of his life, and then right after that, look what happened. He fell away from a close walk with the Lord. And then one of the lowest times of his life happened.

Could something similar to what happened to King David happen to you? How does money deceive you? Listen to today’s episode to find out!

How is your walk with the Lord?

I’m talking about being truly close to the Lord rather than just thinking you are.

Sometimes we slip away from the Lord slowly. So slowly we don’t even know it’s happening.

And if that happens, it can affect your family business, it can affect your stock trading.

It can really affect your relationships.

Everything.

Today I wanna talk about some warning signs that you’re not walking closely with the Lord.

When you see these in your own life, look at them as spiritual red flags.

  • One warning sign that this is happening is the feeling that “you’re doing it on your own”. In other words, you think you don’t need God’s help.
  • Another warning sign is that your focus is increasingly on yourself.

You might be wondering why we’re even talking about this in the context of business or stock trading.

But it’s because it affects every area of your life.

And it’s the most important thing in your life.

Before You Can Be Wealthy, You Need to Master THIS

In the last few weeks on the podcast we’ve been talking about the conditions of God’s promise of wealth. (The first episode in this series is “Actuating God’s Promise of Wealth”, and the second is “Are You Diligent Enough to Be a Millionaire?”, so go check those out if you haven’t already).

Today’s episode is about the last condition of building wealth, and it’s a really important one: skill sets. Why are skill sets so important?

The world can take your gold away, but it cannot take your skillsets away. It can’t take away what’s between your ears. This may be one reason that the richest man in history, Solomon, asked for wisdom from God rather than riches.

Before you can create wealth in your business, God requires that you master the skill sets of that particular business. If you can understand this and put it into practice, you will bring happiness, safety, long-life, riches, honor, a pleasant life, and peace into your life.

Want to find out how? Listen to the episode now.

Are You Diligent Enough to be a Millionaire?

Last week on the podcast we talked about the first condition to actuating God’s promise of wealth: a closer walk with God.

Now what’s the second condition?

Well let’s talk about Proverbs 10:4. He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

So the second condition of actuating God’s promise of wealth in your life is diligence.

Make no mistake. Becoming a millionaire requires hard work and perseverance.

But when you love what you’re doing, it’s not difficult to work hard. (Side note: when it comes to trading, you get to put your money to work even while you’re sleeping).

An effort must be made to become the best at what you’re doing. Stock trading cannot be a hobby if you want to impact future generations…it must be treated as a business and taken seriously. The best way to do that is to get plugged into a repeatable, reliable SYSTEM & SUPPORT.

Because if you’re trying to change your family financially, you can’t take it lightly.

You gotta put everything into it.

Are you diligent enough to be a millionaire? Listen to the episode now to find out!

Actuating God’s Promise of Wealth

Actuating God's Promise of Wealth

Did you know that God actually does promise wealth to his children?

I know you’ve all heard TV preachers that seem to promise that God wants to make you wealthy.

Here’s what those guys don’t understand—that even though it is true that there is a promise of wealth to God’s children, it is what theologians call a conditional promise. And that is different than an unconditional promise.

(I think sometimes the TV preachers teach it like an unconditional promise, and that’s false.)

A conditional promise means there’s an if-then proposition. If you do this, this and this, then I will make you wealthy. So you gotta make sure you get the if part. And that’s what we’re gonna talk about in this week’s episode.

God gives a vast supply of information about wealth creation in the Bible. And you know this is the oldest book on the planet that contains business principles, correct? I mean, it talks about economics, it talks about finance, it talks about the power of creating family businesses. All of this is in the Bible.

Business success implies wealth. I mean the whole idea of entrepreneurship and creating businesses is to create wealth through these businesses. And since wealth is a conditional promise to God’s children, we need to know the conditions in our hearts and fulfill them in our lives.

Now today we’re going to talk about what I think is the most important condition to becoming wealthy.

Want to know what that is? Listen to the episode now to find out!
