People Fail at Everything

In every aspect of life there is the possibility of failure: relationships, careers, sports, and the list goes on. Everyone fails. If this is the case, why do people have such an intense fear of failure? Perhaps it is not failure that should be feared, but quitting. In Franklin Delano Roosevelt‘s first inaugural address, he made the famous quote, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” People quit, and lose sight of their goals, because they fear failure. This is not a productive mindset.

Failure is not the opposite of success. Failure is a step in the process that leads to being successful. If you look at failure as part of success, it’s the thing that will help you achieve your goals. When you eliminate the fear associated with failure, you can begin to use your failure as a tool to develop a better strategy for reaching your goals. Failure can become something we are grateful for.
We should not fear failure, because God‘s strength is made perfect in weakness. The Bible is clear that God’s Grace is sufficient. In fact, we should glory in our infirmities. In our times of failure, God’s power can be seen. Those failures remind us of God’s sovereignty and his desire to bless those who belong to Him. Understanding that failure is part of God’s plan further solidifies the idea that we should use our failure to become more successful.
Failure is an opportunity for improvement. Henry Ford is one of the most well known businessman in American history. He once stated that failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently. Anxiety hinders your ability to problem solve. When you allow yourself to worry about failure, you are unable to use that failure to develop a better plan for success. It is important to maintain the right perspective in terms of failure. You must train yourself to view failure as part of success. When you’re able to do that, it will be easy to pick yourself up, make adjustments and proceed down a path of achievement.
Failure is inevitable. Your mindset and what you choose to do as a result of that failure that will determine your success. When you consider it a part of success, see it as something to glory in and use it to improve your goals, failure is a great tool. Your failures and determination not to quit will lead to success.
How will you use your failure to become successful?

This is why accountability is so important…

One of the things you’re going to learn as you go through the journey of becoming a successful stock trader is that there are some rules you need to follow.

In the beginning, the rules are not typically internal, they’re external. They are something that somebody else said you need to do.
It is easy to give in to temptations to break the rules. Greed creates a strong emotional pull, but there are things that can help you to stay strong in keeping the rules.
Evaluate your rules. Are they good rules? Do they lead to success?
Get a trading partner. This will give you some accountability. Having a partner can help you to see things from a different perspective.
Read God’s Word. The Bible contains many financial and business principles. It can also help you to tune your heart with God’s will and elementate some of the negative emotions trading sometimes involves.
Let TRADEway support you. Do not be afraid to reach out for support. We offer many resources that can help you build and hone your skill sets.
Put these strategies into practice and you might be surprised at the momentum you can build!

Living for Jesus in Raising Kids

In order to live for Jesus while raising your children, you have to walk with Him.

As you go about your day with your kids, bring Jesus into every conversation and every interaction. That makes the strongest impact on kids. Allow them to see through your daily life that Jesus is right there beside you.
In everything, there is an opportunity to teach your children about Jesus.
Nature
When you are looking at insects crawling on the ground, or when your family sees a pretty sunset, talk about how wonderful the Creator is.
Emotions
When you are feeling down, talk about what it means to rejoice in the Lord always. When the family receives great news, thank God for his grace and favor.
Family Dynamic
When you, as a parent, make a mistake, openly ask God’s forgiveness, so that your kids learn to do the same. Then be thankful for that forgiveness and turn away from whatever sin you confessed. Even when dealing with discipline, discuss what the Bible teaches.
The more you talk about Jesus in your home, the more questions your kids are going to ask. When you lay down at night, you’re going to have a strong desire to open your Bible and seek answers for your kids, and you’ll become a much stronger Christian through that.
Children are awesome at challenging parents to seek a closer walk with the Lord. It all comes very naturally if you just wake up in the morning with the commitment to walk with Him each day.
Children are like sponges. They soak up their environment. Make sure the environment you’re raising your kids in is saturated with Jesus.

Over-Analysis Paralysis

Anytime you make a big, important decision in life, you want to spend some time thinking and praying about it. However, at some point you do have to act or you’re going to miss that opportunity.

As a trader, you have to understand that action becomes very important. Many times, there are going to be terrific opportunities that present themselves. You have to make the choice to act on the knowledge and training you have received.
You may begin to overthink everything at a time that you should simplify the process. Do not over-analyze. Keep these basic tips in mind:
  • Start with market tone. Make sure you understand what the market is doing.
  • Look for individual stocks that have patterns that line up with the overall movement of the market.
  • Once you find a stock that’s at a good buy point and lines up with the market tone, you have the three legs that you need for the trading table. So go in to your broker, push those buttons and get into that trade.
One of the worst things a trader can do is become paralyzed by over-analysis. Use what you have learned. If you do not put to use the skill sets you have learned with TRADEway, you stunt your potential for growth.

Make Time For His Presence

It has been said that one of the hardest places in the world to be a Christian is America. At first, you might think, “Well, I don’t see how that could be true,” but consider a different angle.

One of the things we have here in America is abundant blessing. Any time God’s people are in abundant blessing, there is a possibility that we will get distracted from pure and simple devotion to Him. The Bible says in the New Testament that we should have a pure and simple devotion to Christ.
As Christians, we must take time out of each day to engage with God. We must seek to be in His presence in some meaningful way. There is a powerful and a cumulative effect on our hearts, souls, even our bodies, as we spend time with the Lord.
Psalm 91:1 says, “He who abides in the secret place will rest under the shadow of the Almighty.” Make time, in an abundant and busy world, for seeking God, so that we can rest under His shadow and walk in His favor.
