How do the wealthy view money?

There is a difference between the way you think about money and the way the wealthy think about money. If you want to change your financial situation, you need to change the way you think about finances.

How do you think about money? Do you work hard for money, then use it to buy things you want at the current time? What happens when that money is gone? You have to continue working. When you do this, your are trading your time to get those resources. There is a better way to increase your wealth.
People who understand how wealth is built see money, not as a disposable resource to be spent however they want, but as a tool to make more money.
Use your resources in ways that replenish and increase those resources instead of just depleting them.
The money you have can potentially create more money if you use it the right way. To do this, you must learn a skill set. At TRADEway, students learn how to use their resources to possibly build generational wealth. If you want to build wealth, think like the wealthy do. Do what the wealthy do.

Are My Wins Someone Else’s Losses?

As Christians, we do not want to win at somebody else’s expense.

“Are my wins somebody else’s losses?” This is a question many new traders have. As Christians, we do not want to win at somebody else’s expense. The good news is, your wins do not contribute to someone else’s losses.

To understand this concept, you have to understand money:
Money has no value in and of itself. Whenever we make a purchase, we are buying something that we value more than the money we pay for it. So, the person who is buying the stock that you’re selling values the stock more than they value the money they’re paying for it. So in essence, they’re getting value when they buy that stock, and they’re buying it because they believe that the stock is going to go up in value. They might be right. Just because you are selling doesn’t mean the stock is going to crash and the next person is going to lose.
To further understand, you have to understand the market:
The person at the other end of your transaction is not just some random individual who is out there trading stocks. It’s an individual who works for the major exchanges, like New York Stock Exchange or the NASDAQ or AMEX. They’re called a ‘market maker’, and when they buy your stock, they get to turn around and sell that stock for a profit to someone else who wants the stock. So, you can’t even hurt the person who is on the other end of your transaction. He will make a profit every time.
Your wins do not equate to someone else’s losses.

If God Tells Me To Do It, I Know I Can Do It

Many people feel a sense of insecurity when it comes to setting and accomplishing goals, especially goals related to entrepreneurship. If God gives you an assignment, before He gives you the assignment, He gives you the ability to fulfill the assignment. Meditate on these four verses of scripture that prove God will help His children accomplish the goals he has set for them.

Psalm 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
He created you with a purpose. He has a plan for your life, and that plan is sovereign.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Your weaknesses are part of God’s plan. He is magnified through your shortcomings. When you feel inadequate, remember that His strength is what will lead to your accomplishments.
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
God will guide you. He will direct your path, and everything that takes place will be in accordance with His will.
Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
God is the one that gives you the ability, the desire, the dynamic, the passion and the power to do the things that please Him.
You were created to please God. He will keep the promises He has made to His children. As a believer, you must acknowledge God’s sovereignty and His ability to equip you with the skills needed to serve His purpose for you. How will that change the way you view entrepreneurial endeavors?

How Do I Prepare My Family for Wealth

Statistics have shown that an estimated 70 percent of lottery winners end up going bankrupt within the first 3 – 5 years. Many people think they would not encounter the same issues if they were to become wealthy. At TRADEway, we don’t support the idea of gambling, but we do support our students in learning how to build wealth. Often times our students want to know how they can prepare themselves and their families for becoming wealthy. There are four main principles that are important to learn before building wealth:

Wealth is a privilege, not a right
Wealth is not something that everyone has a right to. People have the right to pursue it. They have the right to go out and try to gain wealth, but they don’t just receive wealth as a right for existing. Because wealth is something people must earn, we should be thankful when we receive that blessing. Deuteronomy tells us that we shall remember our Lord, because it is He that gives us the ability to create wealth. Therefore, anytime we’re creating wealth, we should be thinking of Christ.
Wealth has the power to magnify.
If you are a generous person, you have the ability to be more generous when you have wealth, therefore it will amplify the things that are in your heart. Likewise, if you are a greedy person, your greed will be magnified when you have more with which to be greedy. It is important to understand that money doesn’t “corrupt” people, it compounds what is already in their hearts. That is why it is important to keep your mind and heart focused on the things of God.
Wealth is fleeting.
Wealth is not always permanent. We see this in the stories of many people in the Bible: Joseph, who had to store up for seven years in order to be prepared for seven years of famine; Job, whose wealth was taken from him, but the Lord brought it back. It comes in seasons; there is an ebb and flow to wealth. We should strive to use our money wisely while we are able.
There is a purpose for wealth.
Money is meant to be used as a means to provide for our family. The Bible tells us that if we have not provided for our family, we have denied the faith and we are worse than an infidel. God takes that very seriously. The Bible also says we are supposed to be risk-takers with our money. That means we should use our money to make more money. As we create a profit, we should then use our money to be joyful givers. We should give it to those who are less fortunate. Another way many people do not realize that money should be used is for fun. Those who are wealthy and using money the way God intended should also enjoy the blessings they have been given.
When you build wealth the proper way and manage it according to Biblical principles, you have the ability to make a lasting impact on your own life and the lives of others.

This Is Why Believers Should Embrace Trials

A season of disappointment is the place where God prepares you for what He has prepared for you.

James 1:2-4 says “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into diverse temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
You must recognize three truths about trials.
  • Acknowledge that the trials are part of God’s plan. The trials you endure allow God to lead you to triumph.
  • When you encounter a trial, stop trying to get out of the trial and start learning what God has ordained for you to learn from that trial.
  • Understand that you are a work in progress. You can not see the overall picture. What feels like failure could be the means by which God blesses you beyond your wildest dream.
The purpose of trials is to make you strong enough to stay at a place of success when you get there.

This is why mentorship is so important…

One thing producing successful traders who learn quickly, work effectively and have more long term success is mentorship. It’s not what you win in the market, it’s what you keep in the market that is important. Mentorship is a key element to being successful.

Mentorship gets you to your goal faster. This is the information age. You can Google anything. How many times have you heard the phrase, “Google it”? You can read the information and watch the videos, but it does not replace the benefit of being face to face with the person who is in the position you want to be in. Everyone has different personalities, different strengths and different weaknesses. A mentor is able to engage those things on a personal level. This is a leverage that shortens the learning curve. It expands your ability to do what you’re trying to do, because that mentor is imparting wisdom, tools and lessons that they’ve learned in the process.
If there is an area you want to improve, and certainly in trading, get a mentor. Find someone who can make your breakthrough quicker, more effective and long lasting.

This is Why Money IS NOT The End Goal

Money is not the goal. There are too many things that money can’t do. It can’t keep you dry in a storm, you can’t eat it, it can’t spread the Gospel, you can’t live in it… There is basically nothing money can do on its own. The great thing about money is that it can always be traded for something of more value; that’s what you use it for.

You always get something more valuable to you than the actual money you are trading. In fact, you can buy clothes, you can buy food, you can pay for a roof over your head, you can fund missions work so that Christians can go out and share the Gospel.
You have probably never said “I want a million dollars so that I can have a million dollars’. You have thought about the things you want to do with that million dollars. Those big goals in life are the things that are more important than money, and that’s why you should focus on those things when you’re pursuing wealth in your finances. Money has no value, but your goals do.

Foster Kids’ Entrepreneurial Spirit

Most people envision their children being highly successful. Consider these three personality traits you can encourage in children at a young age that will foster their entrepreneurial spirit.

Boost their creativity.
One characteristic all entrepreneurs possess is creativity. Give your child the space to find creative solutions to problems. Encourage them to share how they created various crafts, found new ways to use toys or solved a problem. Allow them to struggle and arrive at a solution on their own. Building their ability to problem solve, in a creative way, will help them to be successful in every area of life, including creating their own product to sell or beginning their own company.
Build their self-confidence.
Children become interested in the smallest things, that we often find boring. Have you ever noticed that your kindergartener wants to read the same book to you repeatedly? It is because she feels confident. No matter how many times you’ve heard Green Eggs and Ham, smile and be thankful that your child wants to read it for the 85th time. It is a sign that she values the feeling of confidence and wants to be successful. Also, have you ever watched a child try a new sport for the first time? It is likely that they repeatedly looked to you for encouragement. Mastering a skill builds self assurance, but before they have achieved mastery, children need to be edified. Find the balance between uplifting your child by praising them for their strengths and challenging them to try new things. Most importantly, teach them that God created them for a purpose and gave them talents that will help them achieve His goals for them.
Encourage them to make decisions.
Decision making comes naturally to a child. By the time your little one is two years old, they begin to voice an opinion. With many of the parenting philosophies that are becoming more popular, children are not encouraged to make decisions and experience the consequences of those decisions. Children know how to make decisions, but they need to be taught the ‘cause and effect’ relationship involved in decision making. That can only be done by allowing them to make decisions for themselves and experience what takes place as a result of those decisions. The size of the decision should correlate to the age of the child. Teach toddlers to make decisions by offering choices such as two clothing options for the day. Allowing your child to experience natural consequences when decisions are made is important. If your toddler chooses shorts on a cool day, they may be a little cold, but they will learn the importance of checking the weather before making that decision again. This teaches children to be less impulsive and more calculating when making decisions. It also teaches them how to seek council from someone they trust and view as successful. By the time your child is in high school, they will be making decisions that greatly impact their future. If you began allowing them to build their decision-making skills while they are young, you can be reassured they are much more likely to be successful. By the time they own their own business, they will know how to consider all options and prayerfully make a decision.
The thing all three of these characteristics have in common is that they are natural traits each young child possesses. Parents simply need to learn how to continue to encourage children to develop these skills. Encourage creativity, be uplifting to your child, and help them build decision making skills. These positive personality traits will help them to be successful throughout their lives.

Working In God’s Family Business

Through scripture, God allows His people to see that He wants us to be successful and unified. He wants that for our nation, our churches and our family businesses as well. He wants to bless Christians. Just as He told Israel in the Old Testament, they would be punished if they did not follow Him, but if they chose to live according to his Word, He promised to unify them and bring them to the promised land.

This concept is the same with your family business. God will bless your family business if you do what you are supposed to.
Responsibility of Believers
God is sovereign, but the Bible also teaches responsibility. God wants you to take responsibility, follow Him and live by His Word, and if you do that He will step closer to you than you have ever felt him. You will never be a millionaire as a Christian until you learn to do the things God commands.
Reliance On God
God won’t let you do it by yourself. He doesn’t want you to go off and be a self made man or woman. The world does it that way, because they have Lucifer. Satan did it, but they think their accomplishments are their own. When you strive to build a business on Biblical principles, you can rely on the promises of God.
Respect for His Sovereignty
You, as a Christian, know who is responsible when you are successful. It is God . He works with you and through you. The accomplishments are so much more fulfilling when you acknowledge that Almighty God has blessed you and your family. When you maintain respect for His sovereignty and serve Him using the wealth you have built, He will continue to bless your family business.
When you work in God’s family business, you understand your responsibility as a Christian, you learn to rely on God rather than yourself, and you respect His role as your heavenly father. When you work in God’s family business and follow His principles, you receive unimaginable reward.

How Bible and Business Mix

At TRADEway, we are a group of believers, trying to train other believers how to multiply their money and use it to do incredible things for God’s glory. We want to teach them how they can change their financial situation in a way that would benefit their families, their churches, and their communities. We are a Christian business.

People have an idea that Christians shouldn’t deal with money. Yet Jesus talked often about money. Why would we not want to have a business that is set up to encourage Christians and provide education for Christians in the world of finance? TRADEway is filling a gap in Christian education.
We strive to teach Christians what they can do to potentially make their money grow. This is something many people do not understand. As we teach people how to make money with their money, we also want to share biblical principles that help them in many areas, including family, business and finance.
Check out what TRADEway has to offer. You may find something of value to you.
